IFS and Relational Therapy For Complex Trauma

Healing childhood trauma can be a long and difficult road. You don’t have to go it alone.

You’ve Tried to Heal From Trauma…

You’ve managed life up to this point. You’ve even been to therapy before, processed your childhood trauma, and thought ‘I’m cured’.

But you’re jumpy and anxious again. You’re chronically overcompensating, shame spiraling, and lashing out, surprising even yourself. You’re bending over backwards to keep people in your life who treat you terribly. The irritability, guilt, and inadequacy are all back. You’re exhausted and don’t know if you can continue like this…

Adult survivors of complex childhood trauma cycle through situations like this all the time. But it doesn’t have to continue. Enlisting support from a trained, trauma-informed therapist can help break this cycle and bring in relief, clarity, compassion, and acceptance.

My Approach to Trauma Healing

When I work with clients who have experienced childhood trauma, the first goal is to instill the truth that nothing is ‘broken’ or ‘wrong’ with them. Trauma responses are a natural body process and are adaptive at the time they were created. I then use a trauma-informed therapy called IFS, which allows us to build a safe, healthy, and supportive relationship with the parts of us that hold that trauma. The work is gentle, slow, compassionate, and tender. We welcome the parts that hold trauma and sit with them. When they are ready to share their story, we listen.

If you're an adult who has complex trauma from childhood and are done pushing it away or fighting against it, reach out to try something different.

She/her/hers

I’m a seasoned traveler on this path of trauma and grief. Sometimes you want a therapist with you on your journey who not only has the training, but the life experience (& healing growth) to back it up.

I work with adults who have experienced complex childhood trauma, grief and loss, or are doubting their religion.

I really enjoy working with clients who have trouble trusting therapists or others due to a fear of being judged because of their life experiences or ‘alternative’ identities. If you are a sex worker, in the kink or sex positive communities, in non-monogamous/poly relationships, LGBTQA+ folks, or exploring your identity or thinking about joining any of these communities, you are safe and free to be all of you here.

I believe we all innately have the internal resources needed to heal - as long as the external environment is safe and supportive. I recognize that this is not possible for everyone, so I strive to provide safety, support, and understanding within the therapy room. Schedule a free consultation now.
